Scoot City Limited is committed to providing the highest quality products on the market and welcomes customer feedback that can assist us in achieving this goal. Our manufacturers offer a warranty period which covers against merchandise defects.

  • To determine warranty requirements for a specific item, please contact the manufacturer or us directly at info@sxcscooters for assistance.
  • Please note warranty processing may take 4-8 weeks and will be subject to the individual manufacturer's policies and discretion.
  • Manufacturer warranties do not cover defects determined to be caused by normal wear or due to customer negligence.
  • It is important to observe the rider restrictions for your particular scooter or bike.

1. What does my warranty cover?

  • If your scooter or bike frame fails due to manufacturing and materials we will repair or replace them free of charge.
  • This warranty is expressly limited to the repair or replacement of defective items and said repair and replacements are the sole remedies of the warranty.
  • The cost of shipping the product back may not be covered.  
  • If you unsure please contact us for further assistance.

2. What does my warranty not cover? 

  • Normal wear and tear
  • Damage due to improper maintenance.
  • Damage due to the installation of incompatible parts or accessories
  • Damage or failure due to accident, misuse, abuse or neglect

3. In what circumstances does my warranty become void?

  • The scooter has been ridden in the rain or has any water ingress*
  • Any modification to the frame, or components voids this warranty entirely.
  • The scooter has been misused - for example it has been ridden by a rider over the recommended weight.
  • The scooter has not been maintained – for example unchanged punctures and missing parts.
  • The scooter has been serviced or modified by anyone other than an authorised partner.
  • If you are not the original owner

4. If I use the scooter/bike and notice a defect or failure after 14 days am I eligible for a refund? 

  • No, but the defective part will be replaced free of charge.

5. Warranty Procedure

  1. Please contact the manufactuer directly with the contact information provided or please email us at info@sxcscooters.com.
  2. Please send photos and video of the damage/issue and proof of purchase which must be attached.      
  3. Scoot City will communicate with our manufacturers in highlighting any faults or defects based on the information provided, we will then require you to send back the original item/s.
  4. After the product has been examined and it's determined that your product is defective or faulty, your product will be replaced free of charge. Shipping costs may apply.

6. What are the scooter rider restrictions and recommendations? 

  • We have categorised which are adult scooters and which are suitable for kids, please adhere to these categories.
  • Kids scooters should not be ridden by anyone under the age of 14 yrs, and not be ridden by anyone over 80 kg.
  • Kids scooters ages 7-13yrs or 110cm-155cm tall and should not be ridden by anyone over 55kg.( including the combined weight of two people).

XIAOMI

All Xiaomi electric scooter product returns require an RMA service order number. To obtain your RMA number, please contact Xiaomi Customer Services directly. For more information, please refer to the Xiaomi UK Warranty page.

SEGWAY (NINEBOT)

KUGOO

If your query is relating to Kugoo products, please refer your issue directly to Kugoo.eu. Should you require more information regarding your warranty or to contact customer support

RETURNING OF MERCHANDISE

  • Returned products must be in new, unused condition and include the original box and/or packaging and returned within 14 days.
  • Once your return is received and inspected (usually within 24 hours of receipt) your refund will be processed and a credit will be applied to your credit card or original payment method.
  • Please note that depending on your credit card company, it may take an additional 2-10 business days after your credit is applied for it to be posted to your account.
  • For wire transfer payments, all refunds will be issued to store credit.
  • You are responsible for all shipping costs associated with getting your order back us.
  • Please do not abuse this policy by ordering multiple (more than 2) of the same or a similar item with the intention of returning the item.
  • Please contact us if you are unsure of any items prior to placing your order, we will be happy to help you decide.
  • See below for instructions on where/how to get your return order back to us. Items should not be shipped back to the manufacturer.

USED OR DAMAGED MERCHANDISE

  • Any merchandise which has been "taken out for a ride" is considered used and cannot be returned.
  • We encourage you to try out your bike or scooter indoors before heading out on the road.
  • Any merchandise or parts which shows signs of use (wear) or otherwise is in a condition other than it was received cannot be returned.
  • If you have a used item you do not want that can no longer be returned to Scoot City.

ELECTRONICS, TOOLS, HARD PARTS TOOLS TIRES

  • Any electronic which has been removed from packaging or manufacturer seal broken is non-returnable.
  • Any part which has been installed or shows signs of attempting to be installed on a vehicle is non-returnable.
  • Any Tool or Chemical that has been opened or seal broken is non-returnable.
  • Open box items for which the packaging has been destroyed are not returnable.

DAMAGED ITEMS

  • Any merchandise which has been "taken out for a ride" is considered used and cannot be returned. We encourage you to try out your bike or scooter indoors before heading out on the road.
  • Any merchandise or parts which shows signs of use (wear) or otherwise is in a condition other than it was received cannot be returned.
  • If you have a used item you do not want that can no longer be returned to Scoot City.

RETURNS PROCESS

  • You can request a return by emailing us at info@sxcscooters.com
  • Please highlight the item in question with your order number and be sure to choose the reason for returning the item.
  • You have 14 days from receipt of your order to return your merchandise so please be sure to print and ship at your earliest convenience.
  • We need to get all products (and their packaging!) back in new condition.  
  • Contact us and we will instruct you as to which of ours hubs the item will need to be returned too.
